Will “Transformers: Dark of the Moon” be the end of the “Transformers” franchise?
It’s difficult for me to bet “Yes” or “No”. Hollywood producers are always able to make more sequels for any movie that’s supposed reach an ultimate end.
Given a ton of money in the first few days of its three-quel release, “Transformers” definitely worth more sequels on the way, but it still faces compelling reasons to step back from the big screen.
It’s end for Sam Witwicky. Shia LaBeouf has long said that since he does not see a role for Sam in the future of the franchise there is no way he’d be likely to return to the “Transformers” series following the third installment. It’s time to move on and do something else.
“It could be rebooted again but I think it has a really killer ending.” Just as Michael Bay’s words implied, the story have people invest a lot in those characters and the real tribute may not necessarily be more sequels but the endless affection that they bear in heart.
