Pure organic, free-range and totally natural. That’s how a restaurant in London describes a new addition to their dessert menu… ice cream, made with breast milk. Yes, breast milk.
The dessert, called Baby Gaga, is churned with donations from London mothers, and served with a rusk and an optional shot of Calpol or Bonjela. Each serving of Baby Gaga costs £14 or $22 American Dollars.
The breast milk is pasteurized before being churned with Madagascan vanilla pods and lemon zest. Founder of this recipe is expecting a great success.
Update: Over the weekend, London government officials confiscated the ice cream made with human breast milk from the restaurant amid concerns the dessert is unsafe. Numerous complaints were filed stating concerns over serving edible foods made with people’s bodily fluids. Viruses, including hepatitis, can be passed on through breast milk.
Doesn’t that sound appetizing?
