Guns N' Roses Resume Reunion Talks

Looks like we may get that elusive [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Guns N’ Roses[/lastfm] reunion after all. The latest rumor indicates that the original five members are in talks to reunite to play a very special event.
KentSterling.com in Indianapolis reported Thursday that a reliable source informed them that the original – and by far the most popular – incarnation of GNR have already discussed reuniting for a halftime performance at Super Bowl XLVI, which will be played in the Colts’ home stadium.
According to the report, the idea came mainly from NFL officials, and not the band. They feel they need to make a major splash with next year’s show after the Black Eyed Peas’ disappointing show at this year’s Super Bowl that broke up a long run of big-time rock bands gracing the halftime stage.
Slash has already talked openly about how much he wants a Guns N’ Roses reunion, and Axl Rose doesn’t seem to be getting any less difficult to deal with in the discussions, as evidenced by his latest comments regarding the rumor.
It really might just come down to the money for these guys. But if the price is right, then we will finally get the big reunion we’ve all been waiting for. They’ve been away from us for far too long.
