Seattle grunge pioneers Pearl Jam, a band who heavily contributed to the sounds of the early 1990s, will look to bolster their meager list of  GRAMMY Awards wins. So far the group has taken home just one award, despite 13 nominations.

Last.fm Trends look to see if the band can this time turn a nomination into a win.

The bandmembers have to look all the way back to 1996 for their one and only GRAMMY Award, when they won Best Hard Rock Performance for “Spin The Black Circle.”

This time around Eddie Vedder and company are nominated in the category for Best Rock Album for their album Backspacer, released in September of 2009.

The album has racked up 4,777,744 scrobbles so far on Last.fm, impressively making it the band’s second most popular album behind the debut 1991 release Ten (which has a huge 13,263,775 scrobbles).

Yesterday Last.fm Trends looked at Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers‘ chance of taking the award but with just 10,419,847 total scrobbles to their name you would have to be a brave person to bet against the 72,632,794 total scrobbles of Pearl Jam.

As long as they can snuff out the sheer force of Muse, who can count 22,669,399 scrobbles of their nominated album The Resistance, Pearl Jam may see their GRAMMY nomination turn into a memorable GRAMMY win.

Find out how Pearl Jam fares by watching the GRAMMY Awards on CBS on February 13.
