You would think that a photograph shot 30 years ago would have everything buttoned up, but no. [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Motley Crue[/lastfm] and the bosses at Live Nation have been slapped with a lawsuit over merchandise sales.
They are being sued by Ron Toma who claims the rights to the album cover photograph from Too Fast For Love shot by photographer Michael Pinter in 1981. Toma claims that the band and Live Nation did not have permission to print the cover on sweatshirts sold from the bands website. He is asking a judge to block the use of the photo on any merchandise without prior authorization.
This is all coming at the same time when lead singer Vince Neil is preparing to serve a two week prison sentence from a DUI arrest last year in Las Vegas.
