[lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Roger Daltrey[/lastfm] said that [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]The Who[/lastfm]‘s recent charity concert in London may have been their last live appearance.
The Who was originally poised for a big live tour across America and overseas, but are now forced to cancel due to declining health.
Daltrey himself recently had a cancer scare, and [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Pete Townshend[/lastfm] is struggling with Tinnitus. So the band’s upcoming break and possible demise comes from things no one can control.
“It’s not in my hands,” he told The Express backstage at The Who’s last concert.
“Pete’s having trouble with his ears, one ear in particular is really bad. He’s really worried about losing it. He’s a composer – it would be hell for him.”
But it still seems it would take more than these recent struggles for the band to come back together for at least one last night together. But fans of The Who at this point need patience.
“Hopefully one day we’ll totter on to a stage somewhere, but it’s definitely our last gig for now. But you never know – that’s what life is – full of surprises.”
