Missed [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Paul McCartney’s[/lastfm] concert in London over the weekend? No worries.
Thanks to the magic of cell phone video, no concert will ever be seen only by the people who see it live. And this very special concert by Paul McCartney, which sold out in about four minutes, is no exception. Video is already all over the internet.
Paul played “Wonderful Christmas Time” to help ring in the holiday season. Someone in the balcony was able to get a nice view of the stage while McCartney and his band helped bring the audience an early Christmas present.
Here’s a clip of Abbey Road standout “Something,” which McCartney begins playing solo before busting into the full band version. And one very generous audience member was able to capture it from start to finish in amazing quality for an audience video.
This clip of Paul playing “Blackbird” all by himself with just an acoustic guitar is pretty moving. The way the crowd sings along to Paul’s every word is chill-inducing.
“Get Back” is another staple of McCartney’s live shows, and he didn’t disappoint here either. The video is a bit shaky in this one, but it’s at least rhythmic shaking going along with the song. Would you be able to help yourself from moving during a show like this?
And obviously, it would be downright criminal of Paul McCartney not to fit “Hey Jude” somewhere into the setlist for any concert, let alone this particular one. But not only did he include the all-time classic, this performance of it is just perfect. And as you watch, it will probably make you jealous of everyone who was there.
