Seriously, Geddy and Company are coming to the big screen –  and then the little screen. reports that “Rush: Beyond the Lighted Stage,” the nonfiction feature about the Canadian progressive rockers will air on both VH1 and VH1 Classic on June 26th.  The film will debut on the big screen this Saturday, April 24th at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York.   Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson are scheduled to attend the screening.

“Rush: Beyond the Lighted Stage” was produced by Scot McFayden and Sam Dunn of Toronto. McFayden and Dunn have carved out a niche in the “rock doc” genre. The filmakers have worked on “Iron Maiden: Flight 666,” “Global Metal,” and “Metal: A Headbanger’s Journey.”
