Soundgarden Performs in Seattle….Tomorrow!
[lastfm]Soundgarden[/lastfm] fans, have I got news for you!!
As you know, alternative band [lastfm]Soundgarden[/lastfm] announced they would be reuniting for [lastfm]Lollapalooza[/lastfm] at the beginning of this year, but what they didn’t announce is, that their first show will not be at the music festival, but rather in their hometown of none other than Seattle!
Keep reading, it gets better.
The show will go down on April 16th (ummm..that’s tomorrow people) at the Showbox at the Market. It will be [lastfm]Soundgarden[/lastfm]’s first show since headlining [lastfm]Lollapalooza[/lastfm] in 1996. It’s rumored that the band has been rehearsing the past few weeks here, but the announcement of the last minute show comes as a huge shocker. It’s not known if the Seattle show will be open to the public or not, or if they will even be playing new material. But for now, it’s the only known date set for the recently reunited band to perform until [lastfm]Lollapalooza[/lastfm].
On another note, they will be releasing their first 7-inch vinyl single “Hunted Down” b/w “Nothing To Say,” which was first released in 1987, for National Record Store Day, also April 16th.
